Producer's profileThe Fattoria di Bagnolo, owned by the Marquis Bartolini Baldelli since 1811, is situated among the beautiful hills of Impruneta, south of Florence, in the region known as Chianti Colli Fiorentini.
The farm is made up of 76 hectares which are divided among vineyards, olive groves and woods. The surrounding buildings and homes, which date back to the XVI century, have been almost completely renovated, careful to respect the history and culture of the territory.
The Fattoria consists of the manor house (once belonging to Machiavelli), farmhouses scattered throughout the property, outbuildings and Our wine production relies mainly on the value of indigenous grape varieties such as Sangiovese and Colorino, which have been cultivated with passion and care in our vineyards, but also of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, planted in more recent years. The care given to our vineyards and the selection of our grapes give birth to two distinct types of Chianti Colli Fiorentini (base and reserve). Both are aged in French oak (50% in barriques holding 225 litres and 50% in tonneaux holding 500 litres.
Our olives, scrupulously handpicked and pressed at very low temperatures, yield an extra virgin olive oil with distinct notes of artichoke and fresh grass, the most appreciated among those who love fine food. large cellars with vaulted ceilings where our high quality wines are produced.
In addition to having won many awards, among which the gold medal at the International Wine Challenge of London, our wines and extra virgin olive oil are reviewed in the most prestigious of food guides, such as Wine Spectator, Gambero Rosso, Veronelli and Slow Food.
