Producer's profileThe Lucignano wine estate owns 150 hectars situated on the hills between San Casciano Val di Pesa and Montespertoli at around 280 mt.s.l.m.
The origin of the soil goes back to the Pliocenic era and its mixture of clay and stones is excellent for the grapegrowing and olive trees cultivation.
The wine estate has 34 hectars of chianti colli fiorentini docg and about 5000 olive trees. The wine is produced in the wine cellar that is part of the beautiful XVIth villa. Fermentation and aging is done in vetrified wine tanks.
In the wine estate there is a very interesting old grape dryer for the Vinsanto and the aging is done in “Caratelli” (small wooden barrels”).
